You land at the Marco Polo airport… and now? what to do?
Do not worry here is the information to reach your hotel in Venice or Mestre or Marghera.

Outside the airport there are ATVO or ACTV bus that will take you to your destination .
If your Hotel is located in Venice, you can reach the island directly by boat from the airport.

How to reach a Hotel located in Venice from Marco Polo airport

In this case there are 4 possibilities:
1- The ATVO shuttle bus that takes you directly to Piazzale Roma (terminus for all buses, cars, taxis, etc …) – the cost is € 8.00 one way and € 15.00 two ways – to download the updated timetable click here – journey time about 20 minutes

2- ACTV public buses that take you to Piazzale Roma – There will be stops on the way – the cost is € 8.00 – the bus to Piazzale Roma is number 5 (for timetables click here) – just look for the number 5 in the list and click on the circle with the clock to view timetables and stops – journey time about 25/30 minutes

2) on-site at Hellovenezia points in the Marco Polo airport:

– automatic machines at the airport

3- With the boat called “Alilaguna” – you can take the blue or orange or red line according to the area where your hotel is located – BLUE line (San Marco, Lido, Murano), ARANCIO line (San Marco, Rialto), RED line (STAGIONAL ONLY – San Marco, Murano) – the ticket cost € 15.00 for Venice island and € 8.00 for Murano island – the duration depends on the stop where you get out in order to reach the Hotel more easily, anyway, reach San Marco Square takes about 1 hour – the timetables and all the stops of all lines can be found by clicking here

4- Taxi – The cost depends on the location of your hotel – anyway, from Marco Polo to Mestre Train station it’s €35.00 and to Piazzale Roma (Venice) it’s €40.00My advice is to buy tickets on site so you can decide at the moment what is the best way in order to avoid any problems or strikes.

How to reach a hotel located in Mestre or Marghera from Marco Polo airport

In this case there are 2 possibilities:
1- The ATVO shuttle bus that takes you directly to the Mestre train station (which is connected to Marghera via a walkable underpass) – the cost is € 8.00 one way and € 15.00 two ways – to download the updated timetables click here – journey time 17 minutes approx
Where you can buy tickets:

– Directly from the driver before getting on the bus

2- ACTV public buses that will take you to different parts of Mestre or Marghera or Favaro – In this case the duration of the route depends on the stop where you get off in order to reach the Hotel more easily, anyway, reach the Mestre train station takes about 25 minutes – the cost is € 8.00 – Buses that take you in the direction of Mestre or Marghera or Favaro are numbers 15 (for timetables click here) and 45 (for timetables click here ) – just look for the number 15 and 45 in the list and click on the circle with the clock to view timetables and stops.
